Biography
Traven was born July 11 2001, he was a happy healthy baby. He had his first surgery at 13 months to have tubes put in his ears. He had some learning delays and speech problems he was small for his age, in the 10% on the growth charts. He was dx with ADHD in kg, but he was determent and done his best. During 2nd grade he started having migranes. We took him to see a headache DR, he checked him out. Done little test that show there is no tumor (no MRI or CT). Put him on meds and sent him home.
Over the summer between 2nd and 3rd grade he doubled his weight going from 40lb to 80lb. Dr said it was a growth spurt and to keep an eye on him. On Aug 19 2010 the day school started he started throwing up. This continued for a week with no other symptoms. We went to his PCP and he could find nothing wrong with him so he sent us to the GI clinic at ACH and to his Headache DR who immediately scheduled an MRI but it was not until Oct 22, 2010.
The MRI showed a mass on his brain, a craniophayngioma brain tumor, due to its size surgery was our only option so on Oct 25, 2010 He went in for a 9 hour surgery where they removed the tumor, but also had to remove his pituitary gland because it had been crushed. This caused Hypopituitarism and Diabetes Insipidus. he spent 3 months in the hospital. He has had a total of 15 hospital stays with 11 surgeries. He has had to have a vp shunt placed a feeding tube for H2O, Has had a cardiac ablation because of SVT, had a liver biopsy were fatty liver was found. Has gone blind in the right eye with damage to the left. His body dont control his temp anymore, he has no short term memory, no balance, in a wheel chair, in on 15 different meds right now 5 of witch he will have to take the rest of his life. im sure i have forgot some stuff but i think iv hit the high points.

Once you find a pattern that you want to stitch and have confirmed it is not already being stitched you may return to the sign up form, fill it in and submit it.
